Gross Gaming Revenue in the Philippines reached $3 billion across all gaming sectors. The information was reported by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp (PAGCOR).
This is a significant growth in comparison to the last year which recorded $2.89 billion. The GGR for casinos comprised $2.61 billion, while online gaming was about $390 million.
“Our performance this year is better than expected for both the private integrated resorts and the PAGCOR-owned casinos,” noted PAGCOR Chair Andrea Domingo in her statement to the news outlet Manila Bulletin.
PAGCOR regulates the gaming industry in the Philippines and operates a number of national casinos. In addition, they operate eight locations and 34 satellite sites across the country.
PAGCOR released GGR data for the first time since they published details of the fourth quarter of the 2017 year.
